Okay, we all want something a bit more fun than the boring old Windows XP logo when we start our computer, this guide will tell you how to change that boring old boot logo to any image you’d like!
Imma say this beforehand, try to pick a simple image with not much detail as the color will need to be reduced to 16 color format, I tried a rickroll and it turned out uh…..pretty demonic
WARNING: IF YOU ARE DOING THIS ON A REAL MACHINE MAKE BACKUPS OF EVERYTHING IMPORTANT, MODIFYING WINDOWS INCORRECTLY CAN RESULT IN AN UNUSABLE COMPUTER
Step 1:
right click your chosen image and click edit, paint should pop up, go to the image drop down menu and select “Attributes” and change it to 640 x 480 pixels

Step 2:
Modify your image in whatever way you please, I chose to do a fake blue screen of death, when finished click file>save as

Step 3:
In the drop down box select “16 color bitmap” as the format then name it boot, save this in
C:\WINDOWS

Step 4:
Go to control panel>system>advanced>startup and recovery then click edit, a notepad window should pop up

Step 5:
On the end of the line containing “windows xp” write the following:
/bootlogo /noguiboot

When you have completed the above steps, reboot your computer to see if the changes have been applied, if not, repeat all the steps and try again.
From now on everytime you start your Windows XP machine your image will come up instead of the Windows XP logo, im not sure exactly who has a Windows XP machine but if you do have Windows XP and feel like modding it feel free to try this cute little mod out!
Anyway thats all for today
Stay safe!
